How does this calculator work?
With K impostors and N players: P(you are impostor) = K/N; impostors win after N−2K kills; a majority eject needs ⌊N/2⌋+1 votes. For 10 players and 2 impostors: 20% impostor chance, 6 kills to win, 6 votes for majority.

How this is calculated
In Among Us, roles are assigned uniformly at random before each round. With K impostors in a lobby of N players, the probability that you receive the impostor role is K ÷ N — a simple fraction, because every player is equally likely to be selected. If you already know your own role (crewmate), the probability that any specific other player is an impostor is K ÷ (N − 1), since one player (you) is removed from the pool.
Impostors win when the number of surviving crewmates equals or drops below the number of surviving impostors. Starting from N − K crewmates and K impostors, this requires exactly (N − K) − K = N − 2K successful kills without being ejected. Fewer total kills are needed in small lobbies or with more impostors.
During a meeting, a player is ejected if they receive a plurality of votes (or a majority if Confirm Ejects is on). The "majority eject" threshold is ⌊N/2⌋ + 1 votes. If all players vote randomly with no information, the probability of ejecting an actual impostor equals K ÷ N — the same as the starting role probability — because random voting provides no distinguishing signal.

The standard recommendation is 2 impostors for 7–9 players and 3 for 10+ players. With 10 players and 2 impostors, the impostor probability is 20% and impostors need 6 kills to win; with 3 impostors it rises to 30% and only 4 kills are needed, making the game faster and more chaotic.
No — the probabilities here assume no prior information (random voting). In real games, eyewitness accounts, alibis, task animations, and travel paths dramatically shift the effective probability that a suspected player is an impostor. The random-vote figure is a baseline for an uninformed round.
The game engine limits impostors to 3. With more impostors the kill-to-win count would collapse to zero or go negative in small lobbies, making crewmate task-wins or vote-wins effectively impossible and removing all strategic tension from the game.
