The PSI (pound-force per square inch, lbf/in²) is the customary pressure unit in the United States and parts of the UK, widely used for tyre inflation, hydraulic systems, and oxygen cylinders. The conversion is exact by the definitions of the pound-force and the inch: 1 PSI = 6,894.757293168361 Pa.
