Paper Quantity Calculator — Sheets & Reams
Find out exactly how many sheets and reams of paper you need for any print job. Enter the page count, number of copies and whether you are printing single- or double-sided, and the calculator gives you the sheet count, reams to order and the total paper weight.

Как работи този калкулатор?
Multiply pages × copies (then divide by 2 for duplex, rounding up) to get sheets, then divide by ream size rounding up to get reams. At 80 gsm A4, each sheet weighs about 5 g. Enter your job details to get an exact sheet count, ream count and total paper weight.
Формула
How this is calculated
For single-sided printing every page side requires one sheet, so the total sheet count equals the number of pages per copy multiplied by the number of copies. For double-sided (duplex) printing, two page sides share one sheet, so the sheet count is halved and rounded up to the nearest whole sheet — an odd final page always needs a fresh sheet.
Reams are then counted by dividing the total sheets by the ream size and rounding up. Standard office reams contain 500 sheets, but 250-sheet packs are common for heavier stock; enter whichever pack size your supplier sells.
Paper weight is calculated from the sheet count, the GSM rating (grams per square metre) and the physical area of the chosen paper size. Standard 80 gsm A4 paper weighs about 5 g per sheet, so 500 sheets (one ream) comes to roughly 2.5 kg — useful for estimating shipping or storage.
Често задавани въпроси
Yes, except when the page count per copy is odd — the final page still needs a complete sheet, so a 5-page document printed duplex uses 3 sheets (pages 1–2, 3–4, and 5 alone). The calculator applies ceiling division to handle this automatically.
The most common ream size is 500 sheets. Some suppliers sell 250-sheet packs (often labelled a "half ream"), and specialist stock sometimes comes in 100-sheet or 1000-sheet quantities. Change the "Sheets per ream" field to match whatever your supplier sells.
GSM stands for grams per square metre — it measures how dense the paper is. Standard office copy paper is 80 gsm; thicker presentation paper runs 100–120 gsm; card stock is 200 gsm and above. Higher GSM paper is heavier, stiffer and usually more expensive per sheet.
