About TG we-Calculate

TG we-Calculate is a free library of 800+ online calculators and unit converters for finance, health, mathematics, science, dates and everyday life. It is built for people who want an answer they can check, not just a number: every calculator shows the formula it uses, explains how the result is worked out, and states the assumptions behind it.

What you get on every calculator

The working, not just the answer. Most calculators include an animated step-by-step walkthrough that substitutes the numbers you typed into the formula, so you can follow — and verify — each step. Calculators where a step list would be misleading (iterative solvers, lookup tables, tax-bracket chains) deliberately do not have one.

An explanation in plain language. A “How this is calculated” section describes each input, the method, the units and the edge cases, followed by worked examples and answers to common questions.

Sources where they matter. Where a result depends on an external standard — such as the World Health Organization’s BMI categories or the Mifflin–St Jeor equation — the page cites it in a “Sources & references” list.

Shareable, citable results. Your inputs are kept in the page address, so a copied link reopens the exact calculation. Each page also offers ready-made citations (APA, Chicago, IEEE, BibTeX) for students and writers.

Built to be fast and private

Calculations run directly in your browser, there is nothing to sign up for, and the site works on any device. The interface is available in 29 languages, and our most-used calculators are fully translated. Developers can use the same formulas through our free public API.

How we keep it accurate

Each calculator implements a documented, widely accepted method and is checked against worked examples and reference values; every page shows when it was last updated. Our methodology page explains the process in detail, and the changelog lists what we have added and fixed. If you find a result that looks wrong, please tell us with the inputs you used — corrections are our top priority.

Who we are

TG we-Calculate is built and owned by Taksha Groups, a technology company focused on useful, accessible web tools. The site is free to use and funded by advertising, which never influences a calculation or a result.
