Antilog Calculator — Inverse Logarithm

The antilog reverses a logarithm: if log_b(y) = x, then antilog_b(x) = b^x = y. Enter x and the base to get the result instantly.

此計算機如何運作?

antilog_b(x) = b^x — the inverse of the logarithm. Antilog₁₀(x) = 10^x (reverses log base 10), and antiln(x) = e^x (reverses the natural log). Enter the log value x and the base to get the original number. For example antilog₁₀(3) = 1000 because log₁₀(1000) = 3.

公式
antilog_b(x) = b^x
How this is calculated

A logarithm answers the question "to what power must the base be raised to get y?" The antilogarithm reverses this: given the exponent x and the base b, it returns b^x — the original number. If log₁₀(100) = 2, then antilog₁₀(2) = 10² = 100. If ln(7.389) ≈ 2, then antiln(2) = e² ≈ 7.389.

The calculator evaluates b^x using the standard power function for any valid base and exponent. It also always reports the two most common antilogs: antilog₁₀(x) = 10^x (the inverse of the common logarithm used in pH, decibels, and Richter scale) and antiln(x) = e^x (the inverse of the natural logarithm, the exponential growth function).

Any positive base except 1 is valid. A base of 1 would make every power equal to 1 (undefined as a logarithmic base); a negative base produces complex numbers for fractional exponents. Very large positive x or bases can produce astronomically large results that exceed floating-point range, in which case the output shows infinity.

常見問題

The antilogarithm of x in base b is b^x — the inverse operation of taking a logarithm. It "undoes" the log: if log_b(y) = x, then the antilog of x is y. The most common antilog is antilog₁₀(x) = 10^x.

antilog₁₀(3) = 10³ = 1000. The common logarithm of 1000 is 3, so the antilog reverses that to give 1000.

The natural antilogarithm (antiln) is simply e^x. Just as ln(x) = log base e of x, antiln(x) = e^x reverses it. This is the exponential function you see in compound growth, population models, and probability distributions.
