Wie funktioniert dieser Rechner?

sin θ = opposite/hypotenuse, cos θ = adjacent/hypotenuse, tan θ = sin/cos. Reciprocals: csc = 1/sin, sec = 1/cos, cot = cos/sin. Enter any angle in degrees or radians to get all six values. tan(90°) and cot(0°) are undefined. Convert degrees to radians by multiplying by π/180.

Formel
sin θ = opp/hyp · cos θ = adj/hyp · tan θ = sin/cos · csc = 1/sin · sec = 1/cos · cot = cos/sin
How this is calculated

Trigonometric functions relate an angle in a right triangle to the ratios of its sides. The three primary functions — sine, cosine, and tangent — are defined relative to the opposite side, adjacent side, and hypotenuse: sin θ = opposite/hypotenuse, cos θ = adjacent/hypotenuse, tan θ = opposite/adjacent (or equivalently sin θ / cos θ). The three reciprocal functions — cosecant (csc), secant (sec), and cotangent (cot) — are simply the reciprocals of sine, cosine, and tangent respectively.

This calculator converts your input angle to radians if entered in degrees (multiply by π/180), then evaluates the functions using the standard mathematical definitions. Tangent and cotangent are undefined wherever cosine or sine equal zero — for example tan(90°) and cot(0°) — so the calculator returns "undefined" for those cases. Values close to these singularities may show large numbers due to floating-point precision.

The sine wave animation below illustrates the periodic nature of sin(θ): the wave completes one full cycle every 360° (2π radians). Your input angle phase-shifts the displayed wave so you can visually locate where your angle falls within the cycle.

Häufige Fragen

tan θ = sin θ / cos θ. At 90° and 270°, cos θ = 0, which makes the denominator zero — division by zero is undefined in real numbers. On a unit circle, the tangent line at those angles is parallel to the x-axis and never intersects it, giving no finite value. Calculators typically return "undefined" or an error for these inputs.

Multiply degrees by π/180. So 180° = π rad, 90° = π/2 rad, 45° = π/4 rad, 60° = π/3 rad, 30° = π/6 rad. To go back: multiply radians by 180/π.

sin(30°) = 0.5, cos(30°) = √3/2 ≈ 0.866, tan(30°) = 1/√3 ≈ 0.577. sin(45°) = cos(45°) = 1/√2 ≈ 0.707, tan(45°) = 1. sin(60°) = √3/2 ≈ 0.866, cos(60°) = 0.5, tan(60°) = √3 ≈ 1.732. sin(0°) = 0, cos(0°) = 1. sin(90°) = 1, cos(90°) = 0.
