Conas a oibríonn an t-áireamhán seo?

The ACFT scores six events (Deadlift, Power Throw, Push-Ups, Sprint-Drag-Carry, Plank, 2-Mile Run) each 0–100 from official Army tables, for a maximum total of 600. Passing requires at least 60 points per event and a total of 360+. This calculator interpolates between the key scoring breakpoints from the 2024 FM 7-22 standard.

Foirmle
Total = MDL + SPT + HRP + SDC + PLK + 2MR (each event scored 0–100 from official tables; minimum 60 per event to pass)
How this is calculated

The ACFT replaced the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) as the Army's primary fitness assessment. It consists of six events, each scored 0–100 for a maximum total of 600. The current (2024) standard requires at least 60 points per event and a total score of 360 or above to pass, though some combat arms Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) have higher minimum standards.

Each event is scored from an official table that maps a performance value (weight, distance, reps, or time) to a point score. This calculator holds the five key score breakpoints per event (60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 points) and linearly interpolates between them. Because the official table has a row for every 5-lb increment, every 0.1 m, or every second, interpolation introduces a small rounding difference — use the official Army table at army.mil for an exact score.

The six events test different physical domains: the 3-Rep Max Deadlift (MDL) and Standing Power Throw (SPT) test muscular strength and power; Hand-Release Push-Ups (HRP) test muscular endurance; the Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC) tests anaerobic capacity; the Plank (PLK) tests core endurance; and the 2-Mile Run (2MR) tests aerobic capacity. The 2024 scoring values used here are from FM 7-22; verify current values at army.mil as standards may change.

Ceisteanna coitianta

The current standard (as of 2024) is a minimum of 60 points in each of the six events and a total score of at least 360 out of 600. Some combat arms MOS require higher per-event minimums. Soldiers who fail one or more events are considered to have failed the ACFT regardless of total score.

Since 2022 the ACFT uses a single gender- and age-neutral scoring standard for all soldiers — the same table applies regardless of age group or sex. This was a significant change from the old APFT, which had different standards by age and gender. Check army.mil for any policy updates after 2024.

The Leg Tuck (LTK) event was replaced by the Plank (PLK) in 2022 after Army data showed a significant portion of soldiers could not complete any leg tucks, making the event ineffective as a discriminator. The Plank is now the standard event 5 for most soldiers, though the Leg Tuck option remained available for a transition period.
